CORE SETUP PAGE INJECTION MOLDING

 To switch on the core pull control option select the main “Core pulling control”

 Depending on the optional available in the machine (see page 01 MACHINE DETAILS), Core 1 or core 2 or all cores can be selected  by selecting “Enable core 1” and “Enable core 2”

 Core 1 may also be operated in rotating core mode by enabling the option ‘Rotating Core’ from the drop down menu

 Cores movement with safety gate open is available as a selectable option.

 For any core operations the corresponding “Enable core.” selection should be enabled.

 If only two cores are to be selected, select core 1 and 2.

 If any invalid core sequence is selected the message ‘Wrong Core Sequence’ appears. Please check and correct the core sequence.

 Any combination of cores can be operated in parallel either during in or out, by enabling the respective selection switch. Please ensure that the cores are enabled before selecting the parallel operation.

 Two cores operating in parallel must have the same in or out position selected. For instance if core 1 and 2 are to operate in parallel at mould open stop during in, select 1 and 2 in the ‘CORE IN’ selection column.

CORE DIRECT:

 Any particular core movement can be accomplished through the selection box “Core direct” for the corresponding core. Only one core should be selected at a time.

 When core direct function is selected in manual or setting mode all the other movements of the machine are disabled (to protect the mould). This can be used for setting up the mould with cores.

 Cores are integrated in the mould open and close sequence even for manual and setting mode.  The cores will operate according to the sequence selected.

CORES IN AND CORE OUT:

 The order in which the cores move is freely programmable with individual speed and pressure settings for all the cores.

 Each core can be individually time dependent or limit switch dependent and the feature “switch off at end position” is also independent for each cores.

Note:  If both the cores are selected at the same sequence (example core 1 in is 1 and core 2 in is also 1) then the speeds and pressures of the first core will be taken as long as it is active to move both the cores simultaneously. The mould movement will start only after both the cores have moved in (in this case).Similar logic applies to cores move out.

In case cores movement is time dependent the cores will move (in / out) for the set time or until the core moved (in/ out) limit switch is pressed whichever occurs first. When core movement is time dependent, the selection “Switch off at end position” is invalid as the cores may not have yet reached the end position. In a case when mould sensing has occurred and core is already in the mould will not go back until the core is moved out by core direct

Attention: Selection of core direct, bypasses the sequence of mould operation with core in/out condition. Hence the operator / tool setter must consult his superiors before selecting / operating core in “DIRECT MODE”. Since the possibility of mould damage exists in “CORE DIRECT MODE” operation.
